Former model, Yolanda Foster, joined the cast of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills during the show’s third season.  Like most of the show’s cast member’s, Foster has been involved in her fair share of drama. Since joining the show, Foster’s friendship with fellow cast member, Lisa Vanderpump has deteriorated, and Vanderpump has not always been kind when addressing Foster.  However, through it all, Yolanda has remained mostly classy, and many viewers appreciate her for that.  Although watching someone on reality TV gives many viewers a sense of closeness; there is much more to Yolanda Foster than meets the eye. Here are three things you didn’t know about Yolanda Foster.

3. Yolanda Foster has Lyme Disease.

Yolanda Foster was diagnosed with Lyme Disease while filming the third season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. The disease, a bacterial illness caused from a tick bite, can result in severe joint pain and damage to the central nervous system. Since becoming diagnosed, Foster has used her reality TV fame to help spread awareness about the disease.  Foster says that she plans to make sure that her health is stable before taking on any more projects outside of the show.

2. Yolanda Foster isn’t a great cook.

Although being a good cook is generally viewed as one important skills of a housewife, apparently, it is not a necessary skill for a real housewife.  During an interview with US Weekly, Foster openly admitted that she is not a good cook, stating: “I’m not a great cook, but I’m also not afraid to make mistakes.”

Before appearing on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Yolanda Foster was a cast member on the European reality TV show, Dutch Hollywood Women. The who a has been described as being very similar to the Real Housewives concept, except that it focuses on specifically on a group of Dutch women living lavish lives in Los Angeles.
